SuperMRO and Meco: Bringing Warom safety solutions to industrial plants

SuperMRO has reached a cooperation agreement with Meco to deploy Warom products and solutions at industrial plants. Meco is a Warom distributor and partner according to the supplied partnership information. Together, the companies aim to connect customers’ operation and maintenance needs with suitable equipment selection, solution planning and technical support.

Meco, Warom and the cooperation

Meco Vietnam provides design consulting, equipment and construction for MEP, lighting and intelligent connectivity infrastructure. Founded in 1987, Shanghai-based Warom Technology manufactures explosion-protected equipment and industrial safety products. Its SCS platform connects field data for monitoring and safety management. The SuperMRO–Meco cooperation offers coordinated support from requirements to configuration review and implementation planning.

Product/solution groupRepresentative portfolioValue and application conditions
Industrial and explosion-protected lightingLinear LED, highbay/lowbay, floodlights, hand lamps and emergency lightsSelect by hazardous-area classification, illumination, mounting, temperature and maintenance. Weatherproof products are also available for ordinary areas.
Electrical and control equipmentJunction and distribution boxes, control stations, starters, plugs and socketsCheck voltage, load, functions, enclosure material, ingress protection and certificates for the specific configuration.
Installation accessoriesCable glands, blanking plugs, thread adapters and flexible conduitsCable, threads, enclosure and protection method must be compatible; installation quality contributes to system safety.

Applications in SuperMRO’s industries

Thermal power and energy

Assess coal handling and milling, fuel systems, generator hydrogen cooling and relevant auxiliary areas. Select lighting, junction boxes, controls and accessories from the area-classification documentation. SCS can support lighting, equipment status and warning management; suitable weatherproof equipment may serve non-hazardous areas.

Refining, oil and gas, LNG

Tanks, pumping and loading areas with flammable gas or vapour need coordinated selection from lighting and enclosures to cable glands. Gas, video, communication and field monitoring can support awareness of abnormal conditions within the plant design.

Chemicals, fertilisers and paper

Assess each process involving solvents, flammable gases or combustible dust, including corrosion, humidity and chemical exposure. One protection rating does not suit an entire plant; paper facilities require separate assessment of materials, dust, chemicals and utilities.

Cement, steel, mining and minerals

Focus on fuels, coal mills, conveyors, process gases and identified hazardous locations. Cement dust is not automatically combustible; Ex requirements depend on the actual atmosphere. Industrial lighting, electrical boxes and monitoring may support maintenance and upgrades.

Shipbuilding, marine and manufacturing

Consider marine and Ex equipment for fuel, paint, solvent or classified areas. Electronics and other manufacturing facilities require location-specific assessment; explosion protection does not by itself meet cleanroom requirements.

Selecting for actual site conditions

Start with hazardous-area documentation, gas/dust type and group, temperature class or permissible surface temperature, ambient range, IP, material and corrosion. Verify ATEX/IECEx or project-required certificates against the exact model and configuration; certifications across a portfolio are not universal approvals. For SCS, establish sensors, networks, interfaces, permissions, data retention and alarm-response procedures. Monitoring supports management; replacing or interfacing existing safety systems needs separate evaluation.

Support from SuperMRO and Meco

SuperMRO and Meco can clarify needs, assess installed equipment, review Warom documentation and propose suitable configurations and supply, implementation and support plans. Share equipment photos, model codes, drawings, installation locations and specifications. According to information supplied by Meco, Warom products have been supplied to and are in use at Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant.
